I thought I would give you a sneak peek at some of my new dolls. This is as far as I have gotten so far--hair on two dolls! lol!! But today I'm going to spend the day working on them so I can get some clothes on these girls! I just got a bunch of new doll hair that I want to try out too! (You can go to www.thecatspyjamaspatterns.com to see all the new stuff!)
I was hoping to catch those two kitties and get them fixed this week. They have been MIA all week! Yesterday 'Todd' came around, got petted and ate, but it was after the vet was closed. Today it is raining so I'm sure they won't be around and I don't want to catch them in the live trap in the rain. By the way, this is me and Sweet Pea in this photo....no traps needed to catch him!
If y'all don't know what a live trap is, here's what they look like. You slide the door up in the back and put some food in there. (Preferably something good & smelly like canned food or sardines for those that are really hard to catch!) The door on the front pushes up and locks in place. When the kitty goes for the food, you hope he steps on that flap to make the door in the front close. (I have had some that stepped over it to the food!) I thought I would share some info because a "trap" sounds scary. I wanted y'all to know that it is safe and won't hurt them. I usually throw a towel over it so it won't be so scary and keep it covered until time to let them back out.
I have two birthday parties for 5 family members this weekend! On my husband's side, our nephew just turned 16 and my father-in-law's b'day is on Sunday. So we're having a party Saturday night. I was planning to make some homemade chocolate cupcakes with vanilla cream cheese icing, sprinkles and candles. I have decided to make a cake instead...then on Sunday we're having a party for my brother, nephew (he'll be 8!) and my brother-in-law. I found a website with some great recipes so I'm going to make some red velvet cupcakes and some chocolate cupcakes with salted caramel icing. Yum! I'll share pictures if they turn out to look halfway decent!! :)
Denise, I love your dolls! AND I know you would never TRAP an animal with any chance of harm! LOL! We all know that! The goodies are making me hungry! Thanks a lot, Me and Mr. Spock want some goodies, and I don't think either of us need them! Poor Mr, Spock, I know how he feels! You are into so much you make my ole head swim! You go girl! you are bringing it!
